Overview:
Assures the procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production and/or non-manufacturing materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives. Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D. Establishes and manages supplier relationships including prices and monitoring supplier performance, selecting/analyzing the supply base and developing and executing the commodity plans.
May be responsible for contributing to or leading process improvement efforts, such as in new product introduction (NPI), resourcing, cost reduction and/or quality. May have global responsibility and/or support multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
  • Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
  • Support purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
  • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
  • Solves a broad range of procurement-related problems of varying scope and complexity.
  • inventory management to ensure assurance of supply, and optimum inventory
  • Perform procurement activities such as Supplier Quotations, Contract Negotiation, Material Purchasing in supporting Revenue shipment, Supplier Risk Management, Supplier Performance Evaluation, Safety Stock Management, Inventory Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Procurement Strategy Development.
  • Prepare reports and updates as and when required
  • Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
  • Work in a team to ensure PO delivery and Assurance are met at all times
  • Support and align with procurement key deliverables to achieve cost saving, inventory management and assurance of supply matrix
  • Resolve PO problem and work closely with AP for closure in timely manner
  • Build up good supplier relationship and partnership in achieving procurement goals
  • Responsible in maintaining good data and accuracy of purchase orders
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates with good positive attitude and willing to learn mindset
  • Requires basic knowledge in job
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Possess negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals
