Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Checker to join our Warehouse Department. As a Checker, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing inventory in our frozen food manufacturing warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining stock integrity, preventing discrepancies, and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cold environment setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing frozen food products against invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
  • Accurately record and document all discrepancies or damages found in inventory.
  • Compare product codes, labels, and expiry dates to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Use handheld scanners and other inventory management tools to track and update inventory records.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of frozen products.
  • Properly store and rotate products in the warehouse, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory control environment preferred, especially within the food industry. However, entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will also be considered.
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with handheld scanners (preferred).
  • Ability to work in a cold and physically demanding environment.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to [Insert Weight Limit - e.g., 25 kg] regularly.
  • Ability to work in a cold storage environment (temperatures typically between [Insert Temperature Range - e.g., -18C to -25C]).
