Position Summary:

This position is responsible to lead workers engaged in the daily duties associated with warehouse operations. operate standard an/or specialize Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in combination with materials handling duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, handling, uncrafing/unboxing large product in preparation for assembly.
  • Assembly of customer's finished product at customer premises on time to contractual lead times and schedule.
  • Accurate placement of product using specialist measuring equipment.
  • Fitment and routing of cables.
  • Testing and verification of finished product.
  • Packing,handling, dispatch of return materials and packaging.
  • Use of IT applications to plan and execute work and update completion of task.
  • Communication of schedule and related tasks to colleagues and customers up and down stream to ensure seamless process flow.
  • Provide training and coaching to new and less experienced colleagues and temp workers.
  • Supervision and guidance to workers to always ensure safety and best practice.
  • A 'Safety First' Mindset . Maintain focus and strictly always follow safe working practices.
  • To maintain high standard of cleanliness designated work areas.
  • Must be hands on and technically minded with an interest in build and assembly of product.
  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment an advantages.
  • Able to read, understand and execute in line with Standard Operating Procedures and Technical Instruction.
  • Able to build a strong rapport and working relationships with colleagues, customer and other third parties.
  • Take initiative to provide ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Manual work which entails long periods in standing position and handling and lifting of heavy goods.
  • Able to work well as part of the team, sharing best practice and ideas and ensuring the safety of self and others.
  • Occasional requirement to support overtime and weekends during peak periods.
  • Support logistics activities in a warehouse environment.
  • Receiving, inventory management and control, pick, pack, dispatch. Manual Handling of product and equipment.

Qualification:

  • Requires minimum 5-years of relevant work experience in warehousing and logistics.
  • Minimum SPM /Diploma in Logistics or Business Administration
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive results effectively
  • Prossess knowledge in Warehouse Management System (WMS) & SAP
  • Proficient in MS Work, Excel, Outlook etc
  • Proficient in English
  • Forklift license would be an advantage.
