WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be based in Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO, Melaka working closely with Vocational Team WHAT YOU’LL DO 1. Training Program Development & Delivery: Develop and deliver structured training programs in bakery, pastry, culinary arts, and barista skills. Create comprehensive lesson plans, training modules, and assessments aligned with industry standards. Conduct engaging practical and theoretical training on food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management. Demonstrate hands-on techniques, including baking, cake decorating, bread-making, and barista skills. Integrate industry best practices into training, ensuring relevance to modern F&B operations. 2.Trainee Assessment & Support: Assess trainees' progress through practical evaluations, assignments, and feedback sessions. Identify individual learning needs and provide one-on-one coaching when required. Develop adaptive learning methods for trainees with disabilities, including assistive tools and modified techniques. Assist trainees in developing independent work skills suited for the F&B industry. Maintain accurate trainee records, progress reports, and assessment documentation. 3.Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Train and enforce hygiene, food safety, and sanitation best practices. Ensure trainees understand and follow safety regulations in food preparation and kitchen operations. Provide guidance on safe handling of kitchen tools, baking equipment, and food storage practices. 4. Collaboration & Industry Engagement: Work closely with therapists, job coaches, and support staff to enhance trainees’ learning experience. Coordinate with industry partners to arrange internships, apprenticeships, or employment opportunities for trainees. Support trainees interested in self-employment with guidance on business branding, marketing, and F&B entrepreneurship. 5. Administrative & Logistical Responsibilities: Maintain training kitchen, tools, and ingredients, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition. Prepare training reports, attendance records, and assessment documentation. Ensure all training activities align with the centre’s policies and guidelines. 6. Other Duties as Assigned Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the employer. REQUIRED QUALITIES: Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, Pastry, or a related field. Previous experience as a trainer, educator, or instructor in vocational training is an added advantage. Strong practical skills in baking, pastry-making, cooking, and barista techniques. Knowledge of industry trends, food safety regulations, and hygiene practices. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage trainees. Ability to design and implement training programs suited to various learning abilities. Passion for teaching and mentoring individuals with different abilities and backgrounds. Proficiency in using kitchen tools, baking equipment, and food preparation techniques. Ability to work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to support trainee development. Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. MINIMUM BASIC SALARY RM2200
