VOCATIONAL TRAINER (HAIR STYLING & BEAUTY CARE TRAINER)

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be based in Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO, Melaka working closely with Vocational Team WHAT YOU’LL DO 1. Training Program Development & Delivery: Develop and deliver hairstyling and beauty care training programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards. Create comprehensive lesson plans, course materials, and practical assessments for trainees. Conduct engaging theoretical and hands-on training sessions in hairstyling, hair treatments, skincare, makeup application, and grooming. Conduct hands-on training in hairstyling techniques, including cutting, coloring, perming, and styling. Teach manicure, pedicure, and nail art techniques with a focus on hygiene and professional standards. Train trainees in customer service, salon management, and professional ethics. 2.Trainee Assessment & Support: Assess trainees' progress through assignments, practical evaluations, and feedback sessions. Identify individual learning needs and provide tailored support to enhance skills and confidence. Conduct regular evaluations and maintain records of trainee performance. Adapt teaching methods to support trainees with different learning needs and physical abilities. Offer one-on-one coaching and adaptive techniques to help all trainees build confidence and skill mastery. 3.Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure trainees understand and follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in hairstyling and beauty care. Provide guidance on safe handling of beauty products, tools, and equipment. Implement proper sanitation practices within the training environment. Demonstrate the use of salon tools and equipment while ensuring safety and accessibility. Introduce trainees to ergonomic techniques to prevent injury and fatigue while working in the beauty industry. 4. Industry Trends & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new techniques, and evolving beauty care standards. Integrate new hairstyling and beauty care techniques into the training curriculum. Participate in professional development activities to enhance training quality. 5. Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the rehabilitation team to align training with trainees’ abilities and rehabilitation goals. Collaborate with external industry partners to provide trainees with exposure to real-world practices. Support trainees in career planning, job placements, and setting up small businesses. Collaborate with therapists and support staff to provide tailored learning strategies for trainees with disabilities. 6. Career Readiness & Entrepreneurship Support: Provide guidance on job readiness, freelancing, and entrepreneurship in the beauty industry. Assist trainees in securing internships, apprenticeships, or employment in salons and beauty businesses. Introduce trainees to business branding, marketing, and client management for those interested in self-employment. 7. Administrative & Logistical Responsibilities: Maintain training equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition. Prepare training reports, attendance records, and assessment documentation. Ensure all training activities comply with the center's policies and guidelines. 8. Other Duties as Assigned Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the employer. REQUIRED QUALITIES: Diploma or Certification in Hairstyling, Beauty Care, Cosmetology, or a related field. Proven experience and expertise in hair styling, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of hair styling skills. Previous experience as a trainer, educator, or instructor in vocational training is an added advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage trainees. Ability to design and implement training programs suited to various learning abilities. Passion for teaching and mentoring individuals with different abilities and backgrounds. Proficiency in using training tools, equipment, and beauty products. Ability to work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to support trainee development. Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. MINIMUM BASIC SALARY RM2200
