Position: Customs Associate

Industry: Medical Imaging Devices

Working duration: 12 months contract with PRSOLKELLY

Working Location: KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur

Working Days/Hours: Monday – Friday (083o to 1730)

Salary: Basic RM3,000 - RM4,000 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical coverage

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support of inbound & outbound shipments of region by coordinating with Customs Brokers, Forwarders, business representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as central contact point in the region for escalations and/or business inquiries over customs operations.
  • Support Country Customs leader in providing information for resolving Customs authorities inquiries such as but not limited into valuation, classification and audits related to specific transactions and processes;
  • Identify customs risk areas and develop actionable plans and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Provide analysis, planning, advice, training and problem-solving services to company internal customers to support adherence to Enterprise Standards and compliance with Government Customs laws and regulations.
  • Validate/Verify information received though various sources such as Customs
  • Broker, freight forwarder, company internal team, to check accurately draft Customs entry, shipping documents and advice Customs Broker on errors and modifications required.
  • Audit import and export transactions to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provide regular reporting of Customs metrics.
  • Identify part numbers which requires classification and take further action together with BPO company to get the most accurate classification.
  • Works with Customs Broker & BPO and company internal team members in relation to solving controllable customs issues.

Required Experience:

  • Diploma / Degree holder in logistic / supply chain
  • Minimum 3 years working experiences in customs clearance/ import & export business
  • Good English communication skills
  • Have a keen knowledge in AEO(Authorized Economic Operator) Program or other related Trade Policy & Program is an advantage
  • Has a knowledge or background in Healthcare Products..
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel & Power Bi
