Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Executive to join our logistics team. The Shipping Executive will be responsible for overseeing the entire shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods, managing documentation, and maintaining strong relationships with shipping vendors and customers. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping Coordination: Manage the daily shipping and delivery schedules, ensuring that goods are shipped according to the customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, customs documentation, and any other required paperwork for domestic and international shipments.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate with shipping carriers and vendors to ensure cost-effective, timely, and safe delivery of goods. Track and resolve shipping issues with vendors.
  • Inventory Control: Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock levels and timely shipments. Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by handling customer inquiries related to shipping status, delays, and shipments, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all shipments comply with relevant regulations and standards, including customs and international shipping laws.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Maintain and track shipping logs, updating systems with real-time shipping information, and provide reports on shipping performance, delays, and trends.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process, including damaged goods, lost shipments, or incorrect deliveries.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control shipping costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and ensure the best shipping options are selected based on the company's budget and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in shipping software, inventory management systems, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Familiarity with international shipping regulations is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address issues quickly and efficiently, keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of international shipping practices and customs regulations.
  • Certificate for Customs Laws and Procedures & Customs Declaring Agent.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations.
