Job Summary: The A-Level Programme Coordinator will lead, manage, and develop the A-Level programme to ensure the highest standards of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support. This role requires collaboration with faculty, students, and administrative staff to maintain and enhance the quality and reputation of the programme. Additionally, the Programme Coordinator may be required to teach or conduct classes for A-Level subjects. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the A-Level programme, ensuring alignment with the college's objectives and educational standards. - To develop, review and update all lesson plans, schemes of work, syllabus from time to time to reflect current practice. - To act as academic advisor / mentor to students and offer pastoral support. - To coordinate programmes (time-tabling) within the department. - To assist in the communication and administrative matters with partner University in accordance with the policies and regulatory requirements of the college and regulatory authorities such as Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) - ⁠Develop and implement strategies to enhance programme quality and student outcomes. - ⁠Lead the development and continuous improvement of the A-Level curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the Cambridge syllabus and meets educational standards and student needs. - ⁠Collaborate with faculty to incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and materials. - ⁠Monitor and ensure that the A-Level programme adheres to the Cambridge syllabus requirements. - ⁠Liaise with relevant educational bodies to maintain compliance with national and international educational standards. - ⁠Act as the primary point of contact for lecturers and students within the programme. - ⁠Provide guidance and support to faculty members, fostering a collaborative and effective teaching environment. - ⁠Conduct classes for A-Level subjects as needed, delivering high-quality instruction to students. - ⁠Develop and update teaching materials to ensure they meet prescribed standards. - ⁠Monitor student academic progress and provide support to enhance learning outcomes. - ⁠Organize seminars, guest lectures, and other academic events to enrich the student experience. - ⁠Ensure compliance with programme standards, including teaching methodologies, learning outcomes, and assessment procedures. - ⁠Maintain up-to-date teaching materials and ensure they meet prescribed standards. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in programme coordination or a related role, preferably within an A-Level or equivalent educational setting. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational management systems. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
