JOB DESCRIPTION
- Resolve support tickets in a fast and professional manner
- Keep support requester updated on the progress of resolving their support ticket
- Ensure all support coming in on emails, phones and conversations is logged in the support system
- Log any bugs or feature request in helpdesk system
- Responsible for managing backups and tape rotation and data center day to day administration
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Providing desktop and server support
- Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops including supports.
- Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
- Ensuring all logs for equipment and users are maintained
- Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
- Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Mathematics, Science & Technology or equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced implementation environment
- Proactive to anticipate the needs of production
- Team player
- Highly organized with an ability to do multi task
- Thrive in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
- Willing to learn new technologies and operating environments
- ITIL experience is an added advantage.
