JOB SUMMARY

1. Assist Supervisor and Dietitian in managing and controlling all aspect of the shift operation of Cafeteria food preparation and meal services.

2. Responsible for the maintenance of cleaning and sanitation in the stewarding area, kitchen, plating area, receiving area and other service areas at all times.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide meal service directly to the customers.
  • Greet customers and provided excellent customer service.
  • Involve in all function and event as per assigned by Dietitian and Supervisor.
  • Involve in the taking customer meal order, collecting and washing tray and utensils in daily work.
  • Follow food safety procedures according to company policies and health and sanitation regulations
  • Replenish condiments, beverages and supplies while maintaining cleanliness at Cafeteria and Kitchen area.
  • Follow and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) during meal preparation at kitchen.
  • Competent in using the current cashiering system at Cafeteria.
  • Manage to do cafeteria sales closing and submit all report assigned by Dietitian and Supervisor.
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage or cross-contamination.
  • Maintain cafeteria and kitchen cleanliness, sanitation and good personal hygiene at working place.
  • Attend briefing and any training arranged by HOD, Dietitian and Supervisor.
  • Develop and maintain personal contacts with guests/patient by offering warm, courteous and professional customer service with good personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Responsible to prepare food and packaging the beverage to patients, customers and staff as according to the superior order.
  • Assist Dietitian and Supervisor in conducting customer satisfaction survey as required.
  • Do daily record of food wastage at Cafeteria and control the use of disposable food packaging.
  • Do daily stock card record at Cafeteria store room and Dietitian office, monitor by Dietitian and Supervisor.
  • Clean all the tray, crockeries and cutleries according to the schedule given and ensure the tray line surrounding area including kitchen, pot wash area, receiving area and dishwashing area keep clean.
  • Clean all equipment and utensils in service area in the morning, afternoon or evening and when necessary.
  • Follow the working roster verified by HOD and cleanliness schedule as provided by Dietitian.
  • Maintain good communication skill with HOD, Dietitian, Supervisor, CDP and staff from Dietetic and Food Service Department and other department as well.
  • Sweep and mop all areas in the department.
  • Remove all garbage trash as per schedule in daily.
  • Wash and sanitize garbage cans, trash carts and food trolley in daily.
  • Ensure receiving area, plating area and other service areas that has been assigned by HOD and Dietitian kept clean at all time.
  • Ensure the fruit & dessert chiller is kept clean and in good arrangement all the time.
  • Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Dietitian and Supervisor.
  • Willing to replace other staff when required.
  • Participate in hospital community activities, program, projects and events when required.
  • Perform any other task and duties as assigned by HOD, Dietitian and Supervisor.
  • Capable to work in shift hour.
