I. General Description:

A Food Manufacturing company, based in Shah Alam is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Manager to lead the establishment and growth of our new trading business arm focused on food products and ingredients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the food industry and experience working with companies such as DKSH or similar. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities, build strong relationships, and drive business growth from the ground up.

II. Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of success in the food products and ingredients industry.
  • Experience in starting up and growing a trading business, including market entry strategies, supplier relationships, and distribution channels.
  • Strong understanding of the food products and ingredients market, including key players, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including sourcing products, negotiating contracts, and managing supply chains.
  • Proven experience working with companies such as DKSH or similar organizations, with an established network of industry contacts.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse market data, develop business plans, and execute strategic initiatives.

III. Education & Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in business development, sales, or the food industry are a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a startup environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, business development tools, and relevant industry technologies.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers, partners, and customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM17,000.00 per month
