GENERAL DUTIES

· Purchasing materials, products and supplies for an organization under the direct supervision of a department head. Responsibility varies based on the size and type of products and cafeteria uses.

· Cashiering – Handling transactions and ensuring purchases were made at the right quantity, quality and prices.

· To provide assistance in the food service program by accounting for meals and revenues.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

· Receive orders from department head, process orders and schedule deliveries for supplies, materials, equipment and services.

· Monitor daily and monthly material requirement.

· Accountable for cafeteria stock accuracy – daily stock transaction

· Organize and maintain proper records of inventory checking and receiving data entry.

· To provide general administrative support to the cafeteria and other clerical administration.

· Assist cafeteria staff to handle events.

· Answering of all enquiries courteously from vendors.

· Keep information confidential concerning school business.

· Account for daily point of sale activity.

· Follow meal charge policy.

· Maintain the PowerSchool database.

· Assist in preparation of menu items and prepare cafeteria service area as directed by Chef.

· Knowing and following the safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job as provided by the Chef.

· Any other duties assigned by the superior.
