WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be based either in Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO, Perak working closely with our Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Research Team. WHAT YOU’LL DO 1) Clinical Responsibilities: -Assess patients’ needs and prescribe appropriate prosthetic and orthotic devices. -Design, fabricate, and fit prostheses and orthoses using advanced materials and techniques. -Adjust and modify devices to ensure comfort, functionality, and durability. -Provide patient education on the use, care, and maintenance of prosthetic and orthotic devices. -Monitor patient progress and perform follow-up evaluations to assess effectiveness and make necessary modifications. -Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. 2) Research and Development: -Conduct research on innovative prosthetic and orthotic materials, designs, and techniques. -Evaluate the effectiveness of existing devices and recommend improvements. -Collaborate with universities, research institutions, and industry partners on prosthetics and orthotics research projects. -Document research findings and contribute to publications in medical and rehabilitation journals. 3) Training and Education: -Provide training and mentorship to junior prosthetists/orthotists, interns, and other rehabilitation professionals. -Organize workshops and awareness programs on prosthetics and orthotics for healthcare providers and patients. -Stay updated with advancements in prosthetics and orthotics through continuous learning and professional development. 4) Operational and Administrative Duties: -Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. -Ensure proper inventory management of prosthetic and orthotic materials and equipment. -Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures for prosthetic and orthotic services. -Perform any other duty as deemed necessary by the employer. 5) Other Duties as Assigned: - Perform additional tasks as directed by senior management, adapting to the evolving needs of the rehabilitation center and its patients. REQUIRED QUALITIES: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or a related field. Certification and licensing as required by local regulatory authorities. Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply Experience in research and development within the field of prosthetics and orthotics is an added advantage. Proficiency in using prosthetic and orthotic fabrication tools, materials, and technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. MIN BASIC SALARY : RM5500
