You will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of products, ensuring they meet the company's standards for taste, quality, and consistency. Responsibilities:

Recipe Preparation:

  • Measure and mix ingredients to create doughs, batters, and other components according to established recipes and formulas.
  • Ensure accurate scaling and adherence to specified measurements for consistency.

Baking and Oven Operation:

  • Operate and monitor baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve desired results.
  • Adjust oven temperatures and conveyor speeds as needed.

Dough Management:

  • Prepare and manage various types of dough, including yeast, sourdough, and laminated dough.
  • Monitor fermentation and proofing processes to achieve optimal texture and flavor.

Product Finishing:

  • Shape and mold dough into specific forms, such as loaves, rolls, or pastries.
  • Apply glazes, icings, and other toppings to finished products.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Address and rectify any deviations from quality specifications.

Sanitation and Cleanliness:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and use of protective gear.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in monitoring and managing ingredient inventory levels.
  • Communicate with the purchasing team to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff, such as pastry chefs or line cooks, to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and ingredients to enhance product offerings.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing recipes or processes.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
