Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

  • Provide information and recommendations for all Building Projects worldwide.
  • Follows up with all facilities to confirm compliance with all Safety, Environmental, and Construction Guidelines.
  • Serves as a resource for management with all space related projects regarding cost and feasibility.
  • Develops and monitors Facility Budgets for all worldwide locations.
  • Lead all areas of the company in efforts to maintain clean facilities.
  • Seeks out ways to lower costs associated with construction, remodeling, safety and security.
  • Monitors all utility costs, and temperature/humidity levels, at all facilities.
  • Maintains file of SAMTEC locations to monitor space utilization.
  • Coordinate with Legal and Accounting functions to support their roles in Facility Projects.
  • Responsible for compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Bi-Annual Reviews on all injury claims with HR Benefits Manager.
  • Maintains files of all SAMTEC vehicles and responsible for their acquisition/disposition.
  • Responsible for property liability insurance compliance activities.
  • Seeks out ways to lower greenhouse gas emissions corporate wide.
Required Experience:
  • 10+ Years’ Experience as a Facilities Manager in a Global Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in all of the following:
  • Facility Projects
  • Facility Management Activities
  • Accident Prevention
  • Crisis Response
  • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
  • Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations. May be exposed to noise (required to wear protective gear). May be exposed to Hazardous Materials & Chemicals (required to wear safety glasses and other protective gear).
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Facilities Management, etc.
  • Degree can be substituted for direct experience.
