Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Provide information and recommendations for all Building Projects worldwide.
- Follows up with all facilities to confirm compliance with all Safety, Environmental, and Construction Guidelines.
- Serves as a resource for management with all space related projects regarding cost and feasibility.
- Develops and monitors Facility Budgets for all worldwide locations.
- Lead all areas of the company in efforts to maintain clean facilities.
- Seeks out ways to lower costs associated with construction, remodeling, safety and security.
- Monitors all utility costs, and temperature/humidity levels, at all facilities.
- Maintains file of SAMTEC locations to monitor space utilization.
- Coordinate with Legal and Accounting functions to support their roles in Facility Projects.
- Responsible for compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Bi-Annual Reviews on all injury claims with HR Benefits Manager.
- Maintains files of all SAMTEC vehicles and responsible for their acquisition/disposition.
- Responsible for property liability insurance compliance activities.
- Seeks out ways to lower greenhouse gas emissions corporate wide.
Required Experience:
- 10+ Years’ Experience as a Facilities Manager in a Global Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in all of the following:
- Facility Projects
- Facility Management Activities
- Accident Prevention
- Crisis Response
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
- Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations. May be exposed to noise (required to wear protective gear). May be exposed to Hazardous Materials & Chemicals (required to wear safety glasses and other protective gear).
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Facilities Management, etc.
- Degree can be substituted for direct experience.
