Senior CNC Milling Machinist

• Set up and adjust CNC milling machines to perform high-precision machining tasks such as milling, drilling, and surface finishing. • Program and modify CNC programs based on engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in machining operations. • Oversee the setup, maintenance, and assembly of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in CNC milling operations, ensuring they are optimized for precision and efficiency. • Schedule and perform regular maintenance and calibration of CNC milling machinery to prevent downtime and ensure continuous production. • Supervise and mentor junior machinists and local staff, providing guidance on CNC milling operations, programming adjustments, tooling setups, and best practices. • Transfer CNC machining and programming skills to local staff, ensuring the team is proficient in CNC operations. • Ensure product quality through detailed inspections, verifying that all machined components meet required specifications and tolerances before proceeding to the next production stage. • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges to inspect and verify the quality of machined parts. • Continuously improve CNC milling processes to enhance productivity, reduce material waste, and optimize tooling life and machine cycle times. • Analyze production output and machining data, making necessary adjustments to improve accuracy, precision, and surface finish. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop cost-effective machining strategies while maintaining high-quality standards. • Work closely with design engineers to ensure tooling and machining requirements are aligned with project goals and specifications. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CNC milling machine operations, including machine malfunctions, tool breakages, and programming errors, ensuring minimal interruptions in production. • Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and relevant health and safety regulations while working with CNC machines. • Adhere to company safety policies and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored and used properly. • Analyze production schedules and assist in optimizing machine operations to meet project deadlines, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
