COIL NAIL WELDING SPECIALIST

1. Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions to supervisor 2. Specify weld process cell and weld system equipment with respect to safety of equipment, performance of equipment at WM manufacturing sites, and production rates required (capacity analysis) 3. Perform troubleshooting and corrections for development of weldment process parameters (APQP related). Review and approve samples and/or photos of weldments for validation of SAFETY critical weld process parameters in production. Issue and control WMG Weld Procedure Data Sheet for all product weld cells based on validation of process parameters 4. Develop weld fixturing for part production that meets capacity requirements with minimal defects while being cost effective and maintainable 5. Complete weld maintenance procedures, control changes and provide training on procedures 6. Maintain close communication with Engineers, Maintenance Weld Technician, Quality Technicians and Production employees operating weld cells during shift. 7. Maintains all automatic welding equipment operational in production, assists Welding Engineer in performance of duties 8. demonstrate and train welding techniques to the team to increase and sustain quality and throughput 9. These techniques may include machine set-up, advanced robot programming, and optimized welding parameters, implementation of new technology, equipment layout, and equipment design. 10. Through data acquisition and analysis the team will develop strategies and measurable to improve quality and throughput 11. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization 12. Work with engineering and generate engineering changes supported with appropriate documentation 13. Plan and develop layouts from blueprints and make templates, applying knowledge of trigonometry, weld joints, effects of heat, and properties of metals
