Position: Customer Service Sales Engineer /Manager (Food Equipment) (Salary up to RM8,500)
Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales budget targets for assigned Business Units (BU) and countries, with a strong focus on service sales.
- Drive business growth by developing relationships with both existing and new customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits to create and follow up on business opportunities.
- Build trust with current clients while expanding the customer base.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and solution presentation to quotation, negotiation, contract signing, and handover.
- Maintain open communication and provide frequent market updates to the Line Manager and relevant teams, such as Quotation.
- Keep a full overview of the customer’s installed base and the competitive landscape, with a clear strategy to win orders.
- Deliver accurate monthly sales forecasts and professional sales reports in a timely manner.
- Initiate and drive market activities to generate new sales opportunities.
- Develop business action plans for new markets and applications by collaborating with departments such as commercial, marketing, and technical teams.
- Maintain high accountability and transparency in managing the sales pipeline, consistently using the CRM platform to track verified leads and opportunities.
- Expand and develop sales channels, including channel partners, agencies, and finders, to support business growth.
- Serve as the key contact for customer inquiries related to projects, single machines, and services, ensuring smooth internal coordination.
- Work closely with the Service Operations team to enhance customer satisfaction, address feedback, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage the existing installed base while expanding the service business.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales team and Key Account Managers to handle both global and regional key accounts effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Industrial) or Food Technology.
- Minimum 6 years of sales experience with a strong track record of success.
- Experience in service sales for processing solutions is preferred.
- Background in the food, feed, or rice industries is a strong advantage.
- Highly responsible and accountable in all tasks.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen, especially in B2B industries.
- Ability to ask the right questions, understand customer needs, and actively listen.
- Skilled in value-based and solution selling.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Positive attitude with high emotional intelligence.
- Strong time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Capable of analyzing and simplifying complex information for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent networking and relationship management skills.
- Solid understanding of key processes within the food and material processing industries.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to RM8,500.00 per month
