Work location: Tanjung Langsat, Johor
Job Description:
- Design, install, and maintain field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level sensors, analyzers, etc.).
- Develop and optimize DCS/PLC/SCADA control systems for chemical processes.
- Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation.
- Ensure all instruments comply with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, ATEX).
- Develop and modify automation logic in PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Integrate new equipment with existing automation systems.
- Work on PID tuning, loop tuning, and advanced process control (APC) strategies.
- Implement safety instrumented systems (SIS) and emergency shutdown systems (ESD).
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with HAZOP recommendations.
- Develop P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
- Collaborate with process engineers, maintenance teams, and vendors for automation projects.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain instrumentation asset records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in instrumentation & automation in a chemical/process plant environment.
- Hands-on experience with DCS (e.g., Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson), PLC (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider), SCADA (Wonderware, Ignition).
