Surface Preparation: Oversee processes such as sandblasting, shot blasting, or chemical treatment to ensure surfaces are prepared for optimal paint adhesion. Implement and monitor cleaning processes to remove contaminants before coating. Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of painted surfaces for thickness, adhesion, uniformity, and appearance. Investigate and resolve defects such as cracking, peeling, or uneven coatings. Maintain documentation of quality control metrics and process adjustments. Equipment Oversight: Manage and maintain painting equipment, including spray systems, paint booths, and curing ovens. Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement upgrades to enhance efficiency. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance schedules are followed. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all painting operations comply with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
