  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Unix System Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Perform SUN/Linux system administration for Client Unix SUN/Linux servers to ensure system is always available and running healthy for Client systems. The job scope covers (but not limited to) are hardware, software & operating system installation, OS configuration, OS patching, system logs analysis, system troubleshooting and problem resolution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTCOMES:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • UNIX Solaris / Linux systems administration.

Supporting Activities:

  • System health checks to ensure that UNIX Solaris / Linux systems are healthy.
  • Troubleshoot problems to minimize outages.
  • Build and install new UNIX Solaris / Linux systems.
  • UNIX Solaris / Linux systems configuration changes and upgrades.
  • Identify any potential opportunities for further improvement /system enhancement.
  • UNIX Solaris / Linux performance tuning and analysis.
  • OS patching.

Outcomes/ deliverables targeted:

  • Prevent system outages.
  • Meeting prescribed SLA.

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field of study.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5yrs.
  • SUN Solaris and Linux UNIX O/S skills.
  • Systems Capacity Planning experience
  • Knowledge in SAN environments and various storage management systems such as VERITAS NetBackup and EMC storage.
  • Experienced in supporting SSH, SUDO, SMARTS, ZENA and XCOM.

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Veritas Infoscale software management.
  • SUN and Linux O/S hardening.
  • LDOM setup and support.
  • OS patching
  • Container setup and support.
  • Tripwire and Splunk software knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Databases e.g., Oracle, DB2 and Sybase.
  • MQ Series and WebSphere
  • Computer network.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Systems Capacity Planning: 2 years (Preferred)
  • VERITAS NetBackup and EMC storage.: 2 years (Preferred)
  • supporting SSH, SUDO, SMARTS, ZENA and XCOM: 2 years (Preferred)
