Job Responsibilities
- Performs NPI, first off, in-process & end-of-run report.
- Performs ballooning of customer prints/drawings.
- Knowledge in writing programs for coordinate measuring machines.
- Knowledge in operating coordinate measuring machine.
- Good understanding with engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances.
- Able to adopt for all measuring equipment in future upgrades etc.
- To conduct inspection on machined products to ensure that products are within design criteria limits.
- To report all defects through quality control inspectors, in order to raise NCRs to ensure close out action of all issues.
- To ensure inspection is maintained in a safe and tidy manner.
- Train new staff and existing staff on CMM.
- Inspect all finished parts for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation.
- Supervise machine are maintained in good condition and the calibration and PM are done as per plan. Report if any abnormality.
- To work to project specific quality plans.
- Performs gauge studies, GR & R’s (attribute and variables)
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- At least diploma in mechanical field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation CMM static machines.
- Well verse in geometric (GD & T).
- Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprint.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving problem related to CMM programme.
- Attention to details.
- Well verse in handling inspection gauges such as height gauge, micrometre, callipers, profile projector, thread gauge and etc.
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
