  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

The role of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is to support the educational and social development of a nominated student. The LSA will take a lead role in supporting the integration of the nominated student into the educational and wider life of the school.

It is the responsibility of the homeroom teacher/ specialist teacher to plan for the learning of all students, but it is expected that the LSA will adapt and differentiate as required to support the nominated student to access learning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide learning support for the student in lessons, or in 1:1 situations, as well as other typical school events such as assemblies, IPC Exit Points, and around the campus in social situations and unstructured time.
  • To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the student and seek advice from the Learning Support teacher, homeroom teacher, specialist teachers as required.
  • To aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and provide modified materials as required e.g. worksheets, games, visual prompt cards etc.
  • To modify resources where required.
  • To facilitate an inclusive learning environment.
  • To facilitate inclusion in small group activities with peers and support interaction between them.
  • To attend relevant professional learning in relation to the student’s needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent.
  • An understanding of working with children with additional needs/ special education needs
  • To have patience, compassion, and the ability to manage one’s emotions
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills, and an interest in helping all children succeed, whatever their barriers to learning.
  • Good time management and organizational skills and flexibility in dealing with seemingly competing demands
  • Candidates with working experience in the related field in an international school will be an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
