Position: Direct Tax Analyst Industry: Oil & Gas Location: Menara Tan & Tan, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM Contract Duration: 5-month contract (Maternity Replacement) Salary Range: RM4,000 – RM6,000 Role Summary: Join our Global Tax Centre (GTC) Team to support the business in technical tax accounting compliance, financial reporting, and operational controls. You'll be part of a team that thrives on process simplification, operational excellence, and delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis. Your Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end tax compliance for the APAC region, including preparation and review of Corporate Income Tax returns. Reconcile all balance sheet tax accounts monthly and handle additional duties as required. Document and communicate abnormal tax expenses to Operations and Management. Extract, analyze, and review data to make insightful recommendations. Drive automation projects and process improvements to increase efficiency. Streamline audit management by quickly responding to tax notices. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers for timely and accurate tax reporting deliverables. Keep the company updated on legal taxation matters, including audits and tax updates. Who Can Apply? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related fields. Professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CA) are a plus. Minimum 3 years of corporate tax experience in any tax jurisdiction. Strong analytical skills with a proactive mindset and the ability to provide expert advice. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English. Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and remotely.
