Key Responsibilities:
- Network Deployment & Configuration:
- Deploy and configure Aruba wireless access points (APs) and switches using Aruba Central.
- Implement and manage VLANs, SSIDs, and network policies to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Utilize Aruba Central to monitor network performance, identify issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for both wireless and wired networks.
- Security & Compliance:
- Configure and manage network security settings, including firewalls, NAC (Network Access Control), and role-based access controls.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security.
- Performance Optimization:
- Conduct regular network performance assessments and optimize configurations for maximum efficiency.
- Implement QoS (Quality of Service) policies to prioritize critical network traffic.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status.
Required Skills:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Aruba Central, Aruba APs, and switches.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, STP) and wireless technologies (e.g., 802.11ac/ax).
- Security & Compliance:
- Experience with network security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Ability to implement and manage security policies and configurations.
- Problem-Solving & Automation:
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network analysis tools.
- Ability to automate network management tasks using scripting tools like Python.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Aruba technologies.
