Job Description: Junior L3 Support

Job Summary:
The Junior Application Maintenance/Production Support (L3) Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability and smooth operation of critical compliance-related applications. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents while adhering to SLAs. The engineer will also work on root cause analysis, automation of repetitive tasks, and coordinating with cross-functional teams for seamless issue resolution.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Support:
Handle Level 3 issues for compliance applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance issues.


2. Incident Management:
Investigate recurring issues and provide permanent fixes.
Collaborate with teams to resolve critical problems.


3. Maintenance and Monitoring:
Monitor application performance and perform health checks.
Ensure systems are updated and running optimally.


4. Automation and Scripting:
Create and update shell scripts (ksh, Perl, etc.) for automation.
Optimize SQL scripts for better system efficiency.


5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain clear documentation of fixes and processes.
Generate reports on issues and application performance.


Key Skills
Must-Have:
o Proficiency in Shell Scripting (ksh, Perl, etc.) for automation.
o Strong SQL skills for database troubleshooting and optimization.


Good-to-Have:
o Basic knowledge of Java for debugging application issues.
Familiarity with Windows and Unix operating systems for log analysis and configuration.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • Qualifications and Experience
