Job description

  • Review, recommend and enhance (where appropriate) company Risk Management’s roadmap, policy, framework, methodology and system.
  • Build a risk-aware culture by providing ongoing education and appropriate briefing and training.
  • Assure the risk registers supporting the different business processes are regularly updated and mitigations are being effectively implemented.
  • Coordinate the “review” of risk registers on an annual basis ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and assessed by respective owners and status of risk treatment plans by conduct of risk workshop(s) attended by Senior Management.
  • Own and coordinate the “update” the company risk register on a quarterly basis (or more frequently where risk profile changes significantly) ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and assessed adequately by the different risk owners, championed by LTs.
  • Develop the board risk visual, update and review with senior management.
  • Coordinate “clean sheet of paper” top-down review of risk registers at least every 3 years ensuring risks are identified, reviewed and assessed by respective owners and status of risk treatment plans.
  • Assist with annual “update” of Risk Management Framework Assessment.
  • Assist every 3 years with a “review” of the Risk Management Framework by conducting interviews with Senior Management.
  • On an on-going basis advise and report to Senior Management risk related issues that arise throughout the organization. Review frequently the internal processes, contracts and identify risk related issues and provide investigation report and recommendations for improvement
  • Participate in and/or coordinate/facilitate process Improvement/ Project/ CAPEX/ Investment proposal risk assessments in conjunction with relevant project team and/or coordinator.
  • Assist risk management programs by assisting with remediation strategies and implementation of improvements.
  • Investigate and research emerging risks and trends in the industry advising senior management where appropriate.
  • Undertake periodic Risk Management Audits to validate status of risk mitigating strategies and ratings provided in the Risk Management Framework Assessments and report results to Senior Management.
  • Participate in selective Project, Operational, Strategy, HSSE, CAPEX, Commercial etc. meetings relevant to risk.
  • Assist with coordination of Business Continuity Planning (BCP). Liaise with Senior Management as to on-going effectiveness of BCP.
  • Develop methods for motivating and inspiring stakeholders.
  • Leverage professional networks to attain critical resources.
  • Provide training materials for process owners and department leads who need support in determining strategies for their work processes.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Business Administration (DBA)/ Degree in Risk Management/ Bachelor in Finance or other related disciplines).
  • At least 7-10 years working experience, with 3 years in managerial position.
  • Experienced in Risk Management Standard (framework, methodology), Risk Management software.
  • Strong communication skill, Team leadership, Business acumen, Result oriented, People development, Helicopter view.

ADDITINONAL DETAILS:

  • Salary Range: Up to RM21,000.
  • Location: KL Office (3 days) & Port Dickson Office (2 days).
  • Job Type: Permanent.
  • Working Hour: 40 hours spread over 5 working days.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM21,000.00 per month
