Job Description:
As a Management Accountant specializing in costing, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data, developing cost structures, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
This role also requires flexibility to handle ad-hoc responsibilities, providing financial insights and support for urgent or unique projects, and responding to the evolving needs of the business.
Key responsibilities:
Cost Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain cost models to accurately calculate product, project, or service costs.
- Analyze cost variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for management.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost forecasts.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and targets.
Ad-Hoc Financial Support:
- Respond to urgent or unplanned requests for financial analysis and reporting.
- Provide cost insights and data for ad-hoc projects, business cases, and decision- making processes.
- Support management with tailored financial advice for specific challenges or
- opportunities.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the organization.
- Streamline costing processes and enhance the accuracy of cost tracking.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with operational and production teams to ensure alignment of cost strategies.
- Support management with financial data for pricing decisions, project evaluations, and strategic planning.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA/CA or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in management accounting, with a focus on costing.
- Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, logistics, or services] is an advantage.
- Proficient in financial and ERP software (e.g., SAP, MYOB, or Xero).
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and modeling.

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
