Job Description:

As a Management Accountant specializing in costing, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data, developing cost structures, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

This role also requires flexibility to handle ad-hoc responsibilities, providing financial insights and support for urgent or unique projects, and responding to the evolving needs of the business.

Key responsibilities:

Cost Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain cost models to accurately calculate product, project, or service costs.
  • Analyze cost variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for management.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and targets.

Ad-Hoc Financial Support:

  • Respond to urgent or unplanned requests for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Provide cost insights and data for ad-hoc projects, business cases, and decision- making processes.
  • Support management with tailored financial advice for specific challenges or
  • opportunities.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the organization.
  • Streamline costing processes and enhance the accuracy of cost tracking.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with operational and production teams to ensure alignment of cost strategies.
  • Support management with financial data for pricing decisions, project evaluations, and strategic planning.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian accounting standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA/CA or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in management accounting, with a focus on costing.
  • Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, logistics, or services] is an advantage.
  • Proficient in financial and ERP software (e.g., SAP, MYOB, or Xero).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and modeling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
