This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's quality governance framework. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, regulations, and best practices, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across all corporate QHSSE functions. The position involves strategic leadership, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality governance policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2).
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and best practices in the oil and gas industry.
- Lead the Quality Governance team and provide strategic direction to ensure quality objectives are met across all functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and project management, to embed quality into organizational processes.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate quality-related risks, implementing preventive measures to avoid non-conformities and operational disruptions.
- Lead audits and inspections, both internal and external, and ensure timely closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on the effectiveness of quality governance programs.
- Analyze quality performance data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives to enhance product and service quality, reduce operational inefficiencies, and achieve cost-effectiveness.
- Act as a primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders on quality matters, including regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the oil and gas sector.
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing quality frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2).
- Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma (Black Belt), or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality governance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management software and digital tools.
