  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced In-house Legal Counsel to join our team in the financial services/payment industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a lawyer, with a strong background in managing legal matters related to financial services or payment industries. The candidate should be proficient in handling litigation and corporate legal responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of issues related to the financial services/payment industry.
  • Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the business operations.
  • Manage and oversee litigation cases, including coordinating with external legal counsel.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.
  • Develop strategies to resolve disputes and mitigate legal risks.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
  • Handle corporate legal matters such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations affecting the financial services/payment industry.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor compliance programs.
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with the company's operations and transactions.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on legal and compliance matters.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, legal firms, and business partners.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to ensure legal matters are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal documentation and records.
  • Ensure all legal files are organized and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer, preferably within the financial services or payment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations governing the financial services/payment industry.
  • Experience in handling litigation and corporate legal matters.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM13,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
