Job Summary:
Al-Hamra Integrated School is looking for a dedicated and compassionate International Students Affairs Officer to join our team. This role is essential for providing academic, cultural, and personal support to international students, while also serving as a caretaker at the student hostel. As the main contact for international students, the officer will help students adapt to their new environment, manage visa processes, and oversee their well-being within the hostel environment. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred to best support a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support and Advocacy
- Act as the primary support contact for international students, assisting with academic, cultural, and personal challenges.
- Provide oversight and care in the student hostel, ensuring a safe and supportive living environment.
- Assist students with adaptation to school policies, procedures, and local customs, with available resources in Mandarin and English.
Hostel Management and Student Welfare
- Serve as a warden for the hostel, overseeing daily routines, safety protocols, and student conduct.
- Ensure a positive and healthy living atmosphere, addressing student concerns and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Organize and monitor curfews, visitor guidelines, and hostel rules to maintain a harmonious environment.
Visa and Immigration Management
- Oversee and manage the student visa process, including applications, renewals, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide clear guidance in both Mandarin and English regarding visa maintenance and immigration requirements.
Event Planning and Community Building
- Develop and coordinate orientation programs and community-building events, tailored to the needs of international students.
- Plan multicultural activities that foster inclusion, cross-cultural exchange, and community among hostel residents and the student body.
Interdepartmental Collaboration and Resource Development
- Work closely with departments such as Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to ensure the holistic well-being of international students.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, challenges, and activities, ensuring communication with students, families, and relevant departments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have experience in student support, hostel/boarding management, or a related field.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills and proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
- Understanding of student visa and immigration regulations.
- Compassionate, with a strong sense of responsibility and an ability to handle conflicts in a hostel setting.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
