Account Executive (Junior)

About the Job We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounts, assisting with month-end closing procedures, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This position requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Job Responsibilities Financial Transactions: • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner. • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting software. Reconciliation: • Reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure account accuracy. • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during reconciliation. Month-End Closing: • Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports. Database Management: • Manage and maintain accounting databases within the company's accounting software. • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in the accounting system. Tax Reporting: • Prepare and submit tax reports as required by local regulations. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations. Budgeting and Forecasting: • Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. • Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances. Financial Analysis: • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support informed decision-making. • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management. Compliance and Standards: • Stay current on accounting standards and best practices. • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Collaboration: • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives. • Provide financial expertise and support to other teams as needed. Qualifications and Experience Needed • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting role • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices • Proficiency in accounting software • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
