Your Role:

We are seeking a Agronomy Research Assistant to become part of our team to be based at Tuan Mee Estate (Ijok, Selangor). The role involves both administrative and fieldwork, requiring the individual to travel extensively at times. Successful candidates will enjoy an appealing compensation package. Only applicants with a Diploma will be considered.

Responsibilities:

1) Research works:

  • To assist the Officer in IoT sensor evaluation and installation at field stations as part of the Company’s efforts to drive IR 4.0 into oil palm plantations.
  • To assist in collecting oil palm vegetative growth measurements (VGM) and implementing treatments as part of field research trials.

2) Administrative:

  • To assist Officer in monitoring field trial activities by liaising with the field substation RAs that research activities are carried out on time, and to summarise monthly trial productivity figures.
  • To manage storage of trial samples (recording and organising the store to ensure easy retrieval of samples).

3) Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least Pre-Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma in Agriculture/ Forestry/Engineering, Geographical Science, or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Teams).
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
