Job Purpose

You play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions and records within Asiakom. You are responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the railway or transportation industry.
  • Proven track record of managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to optimize liquidity.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budget variance analyses for management review.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Support the Head of Finance & Operations in ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, QuickBooks).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.

Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,108.33 per month
