Platform Adoption & Enablement:

  • Drive the adoption and effective use of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI across the organization.
  • Expand the Power BI community to enhance collaboration and best practices.
  • Utilize AI and Copilot capabilities

Governance & Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance policies, standards, and best practices for MS Fabric and Power BI.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Establish data lineage, cataloging, and classification strategies to improve transparency and accountability.

Platform Administration & Optimization:

  • Perform administration tasks such as setting up and maintaining gateways, managing tenant settings, and monitoring system performance.
  • Oversee Power BI workspace management, dataset refresh schedules, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure effective lifecycle management of reports, dashboards, and data models.

Security & Risk Management:

  • Implement data security measures, including sensitivity labels, encryption, and access controls.
  • Monitor and audit Power BI usage to detect anomalies and potential security risks.
  • Coordinate with IT security teams to integrate Power BI with organizational security frameworks.

Training & Support:

  • Create training materials, guidelines, and best practices to support different user levels.
  • Act as the central point of contact for inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate communication between IT, data teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on governance objectives.

Strategic Data Platform Development:

  • Support the conception and technical implementation of strategic data platform projects.
  • Drive the continuous development of the platform
  • Work with business units to enable scalable and effective data product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Data Management, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in governance, administration, or management of Power BI and MS Fabric environments.
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance principles.
  • Experience with Power BI administration, including tenant settings, permissions, and licensing.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Data Factory, and other Microsoft data services.
  • Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, DAX, M, SQL) for automation and governance implementation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
