Cochlear is hiring for a Senior Test Analyst, a candidate who is passionate about contributing to a high performing team and to ensure high quality testing and verification initiatives.
As a Senior Test Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our applications. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, identify defects, and collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues.

Accountabilities
Team Leadership and Resource Planning
  • Ensure performance and development goals are in place for the team and managed within the Cochlear performance management process.
  • Motivate and inspire team members and maintain healthy dynamics.
  • Lead by example (role model) and be receptive to feedback.
  • Set standards for the team, coach and hold team members accountable to that standard.
Test Preparation
  • Create & maintain Test Plan for Project and provide definition of the Test Criteria
  • Complete Impact Assessment and determine scope of regression testing
  • Gather testing requirements from business users/analysts for individual changes
  • Manage Release and Cycles, Requirements, Test Scripts, Test execute and Defects
Test Coordination
  • Work with Delivery Managers with test resource estimation and allocation
  • Work with Delivery Manager to identify and confirm testers
  • Facilitate JIRA access for UAT testers
  • Provide UAT testers with SynapseRT training and User Support
Test Execution
  • Execute testing according to plan and create test reports
  • Monitor and report on progress of testing during testing phases
  • Manage and report on progress of defect management and retesting
  • Oversee running of automated and performance testing
Communication and Reporting
  • Provide reporting on testing KPIs
  • Provide advice and guidance to members of the Information Technology team on testing
  • Deliver testing progress reports to IT
  • Review testing to deliver recommendations on improvements
Process Improvement
  • Conduct research and remain current with the latest industry trends and best practices for testing.
  • Conduct analysis of existing "as-is" processes and provide guidance and support for creation of new "to-be" processes.
  • Work closely with the team to improve efficiency of internal processes
Key Incumbent Requirements
  • Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science degree.
  • Experience with application development
  • Experience with Test Management including, analysis of requirements, test script creation and test execution
  • Strong negotiation and Change Management skills
  • ITIL certification (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of software testing strategies and approaches (Desirable)
  • Experience with ERP system, especially in SAP (Desirable)
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA (Desirable)
