Basic Test Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a fundamental understanding of functional testing and a keen eye for identifying and reporting software defects. Key Responsibilities: •Perform basic functional testing of software applications. •Document and report defects using a defect registration system (such as ClearQuest, JIRA, or Bugzilla). •Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure defects are properly addressed. •Conduct tests in alignment with the software development lifecycle and defect lifecycle processes. •Analyze test results and provide detailed reports. •Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Requirements: •0-2 years of experience in functional testing. •Basic knowledge of embedded testing (preferred but not mandatory). •Familiarity with defect registration systems such as ClearQuest, JIRA, or Bugzilla. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. •Good understanding of the software life cycle and defect life cycle. •Excellent English communication skills (speaking and writing is mandatory).
