Contract Duration: 01/03/2025 - 31/06/2025 or until further notice.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment (experience in steel manufacturing is a plus).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
Job Scopes:
Operations Management:
- Supervise daily operations of the steel pipe manufacturing plant, ensuring all processes are executed according to established procedures.
- Optimize production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust them to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Oversee resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production requirements.
Staff Management and Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
- Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
- Foster a collaborative, motivated, and safety-conscious work environment.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure production meets established quality standards by implementing quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Oversee the inspection of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to maintain product quality.
- Ensure the plant complies with all relevant safety, health, environmental, and industry regulations.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability practices in the manufacturing process.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the plant’s operational budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Implement cost-reduction strategies and track expenses to ensure operations stay within budget.
- Monitor energy consumption, waste reduction, and other cost-related factors to optimize plant efficiency.
Safety and Risk Management:
- Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Identify safety hazards and take proactive steps to mitigate risk and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety audits and prepare reports on plant safety performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and submit regular operational performance reports to senior management, including KPIs, production statistics, and maintenance updates.
- Analyze operational data and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and throughput.
Maintenance and Equipment Management:
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Ensure machinery downtime is minimized by developing and executing preventive maintenance programs.

Work Environment:
This role is based in the steel pipe manufacturing plant, oversee day-to-day activities and ensure the smooth functioning of all departments. The position may require occasional travel and flexibility to work in shifts as needed.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of the manufacturing plant, ensuring that all aspects of production, quality, safety, and cost management are handled efficiently.
