Stenta is currently seeking to hire talented production engineer trainees to join our team in the flexible plastic packaging business. If you are passionate about pursuing a career in this industry, we welcome your interest.

To qualify for this position, we are looking for individuals who possess a degree in mechanical, chemical, polymer, or industrial engineering as well as material sciences, physics and chemistry. Candidates with relevant experience in production and manufacturing processes, as well as knowledge of manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, are highly preferred.

Furthermore, the successful candidates must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

As a production engineer trainee, we are expecting you to be:

  • Take lead in data analysis, plan execution for the process/production department.
  • Determined, hungry for success, persevere, leadership quality, good communication skills with colleagues.
  • Experience in plastic, printing industry is preferred.
  • Experience in managing group of employees & scheduling. Able to provide guidance & support to the peers.
  • Candidate with knowledge in slitting machine, extrusion process, PP/PE films production, blown production is recommended to apply.

Job description:

  • In charge of the production output against target, identify & analyse the gap.
  • Experience in managing production inefficiencies & quality index, summarize, analyse to understand the cause.
  • Carry out improvement programs to eliminate the gaps toward achieving & exceeding the target, and reduce the inefficiencies & wastage.
  • Overseeing & improve overall manpower management for the team. Make sure the production is run smoothly 24/7.

Working conditions:

  • Normal working hours (8.45am - 6.15pm, Mon - Fri)
  • Standby on rest day or odd hours for any ad-hoc machinery breakdown might be required.
