Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Part-Time Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking and pastry preparation, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in dessert presentation. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, cakes, bread, and other baked goods while ensuring consistency and freshness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, bread, and other desserts according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Decorate and present pastries attractively for display and service.
  • Assist in menu development by suggesting new pastry items and seasonal desserts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet customer orders and business demands.
  • Adapt to special requests, dietary restrictions, and event-based dessert requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef, baker, or relevant role.
  • Formal training in pastry arts or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and decoration methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and creativity in dessert presentation.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Food handling certificate

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM8.00 - RM10.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
