Position: Direct Tax Analyst

Industry: Oil & Gas

Location: Menara Tan & Tan, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Contract Duration: 5-month contract (Maternity Replacement)

Salary Range: RM4,000 – RM6,000

Role Summary:

Join our Global Tax Centre (GTC) Team to support the business in technical tax accounting compliance, financial reporting, and operational controls. You'll be part of a team that thrives on process simplification, operational excellence, and delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end tax compliance for the APAC region, including preparation and review of Corporate Income Tax returns.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet tax accounts monthly and handle additional duties as required.
  • Document and communicate abnormal tax expenses to Operations and Management.
  • Extract, analyze, and review data to make insightful recommendations.
  • Drive automation projects and process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Streamline audit management by quickly responding to tax notices.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers for timely and accurate tax reporting deliverables.
  • Keep the company updated on legal taxation matters, including audits and tax updates.

Who Can Apply?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related fields. Professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of corporate tax experience in any tax jurisdiction.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive mindset and the ability to provide expert advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and remotely.
