DUTIE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the Go-To Expert: Use your knowledge of HR processes, systems, and policies to help both internal teams and external parties with questions or issues related to Recruitment, Payroll, Foreign Workers, and HR matters.
- Design and Improve HR Practices: Understand the company’s goals, design efficient HR workflows, and work with different teams to improve HR policies and processes. You will also collaborate with external partners like vendors and other organizations.
- Manage HR Operations: Oversee all HR operations including payroll, employee data, social security, and provident funds. Ensure that services are delivered on time and are of good quality.
- Improve Employee Relations: Focus on job satisfaction, employee engagement, and solving any workplace issues. Handle disciplinary actions and employee terminations according to company policies.
- Support Recruitment: Help with recruiting new staff, creating job ads, interviewing candidates, and introducing new employees to the company.
- Enforce HR Policies: Make sure HR rules, processes, and programs are applied fairly to all employees. Suggest improvements if needed.
- Update Employee Handbook: Regularly review and update the Employee Handbook to make sure it includes the latest policies and procedures.
- Support Budgeting: Assist management with the annual staffing budget and create monthly reports on staffing and HR-related statistics.
- Training and Development: Research and prepare training programs for employees. Develop a yearly training schedule and arrange the necessary resources for staff development.
- Manage Foreign Workers: Handle matters related to foreign workers, such as permit applications, renewals, and managing hostel arrangements.
- Employee Welfare: Take care of employee needs like medical insurance, organizing festivals, and other company events for employee well-being.
- Drive Change and Build Trust: Be involved in both strategic tasks and hands-on HR work. Build trust with employees and managers, and help drive positive changes in the company.
- Other Tasks: Take on any other tasks that senior management assigns to you.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree / post graduate diploma or professional degree in human resource management or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years working experience preferred.
- In depth knowledge of the Employment Act 1955, Malaysian Labor Law, SOCSO, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Immigration, LHDN and foreign worker requirements.
- Experience in iPayroll software - HR2000 or a similar system.
- Be familiar with the ISO:9001 2015 Quality Management Standard, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
