Job Description
Leadership & Strategy Development:
- Lead the Security and Safety Division by setting long-term and short-term strategic objectives, aligning with overall organizational goals.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security and safety strategy to mitigate risks, enhance the safety of personnel, and protect assets.
- Act as the senior representative for all matters related to security and safety to senior management, external stakeholders, and government authorities.
- Direct and manage a team of security professionals, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
Security Management:
- Develop, implement, and review physical security protocols and systems, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
- Coordinate security operations to protect buildings, facilities, and personnel across multiple locations.
- Oversee the planning and execution of emergency response plans (fire, natural disasters, workplace violence, etc.) to minimize the impact of security incidents.
- Manage relationships with security service providers and external contractors, ensuring compliance with agreements and regulatory standards.
Safety Programs and Compliance:
- Ensure the organization complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to workplace safety, including OSHA, fire safety, environmental safety, etc.
- Develop and maintain a health and safety program to prevent accidents and injuries, and provide safety training for employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and safety drills to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and safety concerns, ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
Security Technology & Innovation:
- Stay informed on the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance security measures and safety protocols.
- Evaluate and implement innovative technologies and systems to improve organizational safety, including surveillance systems, fire detection, and access management.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the security and safety division, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses and financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to remain within budget while maintaining effective security measures.
Training and Awareness:
- Establish regular security and safety training programs for employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Promote a culture of safety and awareness across the organization, ensuring that security policies and procedures are well understood and followed.
- Organize security drills and simulation exercises to test readiness and response times.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, safety audits, and compliance reports.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on security and safety activities, threats, and performance metrics.
- Ensure proper documentation for compliance and audit purposes
