JOB PURPOSE Analyse, execute and support the tasks for consultancy & services by conducting business development, order book conversion, marketing, deal closure, pre-award management and hand over to post-award management in order to ensure consultancy and services are successfully delivered in an effective and efficient manner to secure the highest monetary income for the university. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Business Development (Business Outlook, Order Book & Tendering) Analyse and execute business development for consultancy and services by i) conducting market survey and benchmarking activities to identify suitable opportunities, ii) identifying the best method to secure orders and, iii) preparing business proposals with consultants inclusive of mobilisation and de-mobilisation plans costing in order to secure the highest success rate for the university, inclusive the marketing activities. • Order Book Conversion (Business Execution) Analyse, execute and support the tasks associated with order book conversion such as recruiting manpower and securing testing facilities in order to ensure the successful execution of the project. Assisting on proposal and costing development to ensure to meet the client expectation and achieve the Return of Investment (ROI) for university. Partnership model planning, assessment, monitoring and renewal (Service Level Agreement, Master Service Agreement etc). • Pre-Award Management Analyse, execute and support pre-award management by proposing, negotiating and reviewing the terms of the contract with the client inclusive of the project schedule, expected deliverables, project payment and professional fee disbursement to ensure consultancy and services can be successfully delivered in an effective and efficient manner. Tender screening and assessment, client registration, consultant profile database update, issuance of quotation and other relevant office matter. • Marketing & Deal Closure Execute and support the marketing of and closure of deals for consultancy and services by (i) promoting offerings at trade fairs in trade exhibitions (ii) conducting customised marketing with potential clients, (iii) organising exhibitions and tours of the research and associated facilities at the university for potential customers, (iv) closing deals with clients and (v) providing customer technical support in order to secure the highest monetary value and income for the university. REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor’s Degree/MSc’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Computing, or related field AND with at least 5 years business experience in business development or consultancy. 2. Possess experience in tender preparation, proposal development, or project management, preferably in the consultancy or professional services industry. 3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize complex information. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools. 6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently under tight deadlines. 7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 8. Knowledge of tendering processes, procurement regulations, and industry standards is desirable. 9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic work environment.
