Halal Executive

Manage and coordinate the end-to-end process of applying for and obtaining Halal certification from JAKIM. Liaise with JAKIM officials for inspections, audits, and any inquiries related to the Halal certification process. Verify suppliers and ingredients for Halal certification and compliance. Conduct internal audits to confirm that all procedures meet JAKIM's Halal requirements. Develop, implement, and update Halal assurance systems (HAS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Organize regular training sessions for staff on Halal principles, JAKIM regulations, and proper handling of Halal-certified ingredients. Develop educational materials (e.g., posters, manuals) for staff on Halal best practices. Act as the main contact point between company and external Halal authorities, government, suppliers, and certification bodies. Prepare the company for external audits and inspections by JAKIM or other Halal certification bodies. Maintain proper records of Halal certifications, supplier certificates, inspection reports, and other compliance documents Ensure timely renewal of Halal certification and keep track of expiry dates. Regularly monitor operations, storage, and production processes to ensure ongoing Halal compliance. Establish and lead an internal Halal committee within the company. Schedule and conduct regular meetings with the Halal committee to discuss compliance, audits, and any issues. Investigate and resolve complaints related to Halal issues from customers or regulatory bodies. Work closely with QA R&D teams to ensure newly developed products comply with Halal requirements. Benchmark the company’s Halal practices against industry leaders and implement improvements.
