Key Responsibilities: · Develop, implement, and monitor safety and health policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with local regulations and company standards. · Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. · Lead safety and health training programs to ensure employees are aware of workplace hazards and preventive measures. · Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence. · Liaise with government authorities, clients, and stakeholders on safety and health matters. · Maintain accurate documentation and records of safety activities, including permits, certifications, and reports. · Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the organization. Job Requirements: · Possess a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field. · Must be a registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health). · At least 3 years of working experience as a Safety and Health Officer, preferably in the construction or engineering industry. · Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and other related regulations. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external parties. · Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. · Applicants should be willing to be based at Melaka.
