Job Description:
- Ensure that the provisions of the Act and any regulations made thereunder are complied with; and
- Liaise with relevant government agencies such as DOSH, CIDB, KKM, local authorities and all interested party such as Project Client and consultant.
- Promote the safe conduct of work generally within the worksite via HSE programs;
- Inspecting and rectifying any unsafe act and unsafe condition at place of work;
- Checking sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the regulations made thereunder.
- Assist Safety and Health Officer to carry out daily surveillance at work place / project with relevant check list;
- Assist the Safety and Health Officer to investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases which has happened in the place of work;
- Perform any other safety & health duties assigned by Superior / the Management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess at least Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health Management or Safety Certificate from approved authorities;
- Candidate must be a certified Site Safety Supervisor by DOSH (Previously known as Yellow Book Holder);
- At least 2 - 3 year(s) of experience in the Health and Safety. Experience in infrastructure project is required for this position;
- Proven experience of Supervisory Skills will be an added advantage;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications;
- Required Skill(s): Occupational Safety & Health Management, Construction Management etc.
- Have the ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment on company operations and activities;
- Must be willing to work in Perak.
