Job Purpose
Assistant Engineer Trackwork to assist Engineer Trackwork in RTS Operations Pte Ltd for planning, managing and monitoring the Preventive & Corrective Maintenance on Trackwork Maintenance activity based on engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronic) and any interfacing subsystem is conducted as per Maintenance Plan and Budget. To ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures, safety and regulatory requirements to achieve Permanent Way Maintenance Subsystem availability and reliability targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist the Engineer in strategizing, developing, and reviewing the Permanent Way maintenance plan, ensuring performance objectives are met and optimizing department productivity.
- Plan, manage, and execute resource requirements (manpower, tools, equipment, parts, training) for predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance work, ensuring timely rectification and collaboration with other departments.
- Control maintenance records for future reference, supporting data analysis, technical investigations, and audits, while managing departmental procurement to ensure availability of spare parts.
- Implement Predictive, Preventive, and Corrective Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct periodic audits, and propose rectifications for non-compliance.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with SOPs, statutory requirements, and Integrated Management System standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO 37001:2018) to achieve safety and regulatory compliance.
- To support the Engineer in planning, participating, and coordinating with parties to ensure the smooth implementation of Permanent Way Occupancy Clearance activities, prevent overlapping, and ensure adherence to all rules, regulations, and safety policies and procedures.
- To assist the Engineer in managing, proposing, and implementing Rail & Equipment Maintenance (REM) Sub-system Maintenance capability development in areas of maintenance competency, asset/system availability/reliability, and to cater to technological changes/enhancements in carrying out maintenance activities effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience. Experience in Railway and RAMS is an added advantage.
