As a member of the APJ Presales Engineer team, you will provide the South Asia sales team with technical and product knowledge to help it achieve specific sales revenue goals as well as perform agreed upon major business objectives designed to further company-wide business goals. As a Presales Engineer, you will communicate in highly technical conversations with customers and partners and provide input and expertise on designing an implementation with them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the technical and commercial benefits, ROI, and/or TCO of our solution.
  • Perform In-depth demonstrations of our features during customer and partner meetings, technical workshops, webinars, and seminars.
  • Create the proper solution (HW/SW/Virtual/Appliance mix) to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Design, implement and perform proof of concepts (POC).
  • Act as a technical point of contact for the South Asia Sales teams. Liaise with the members of this team and provide guidance and training on the technical aspects of our solution
  • Provide technical support to prospective customers and partners who are trialing our solution
  • Provide training and product demonstrations for prospective customers and partners.
  • On demand, attend conferences and shows to assist Progress Sales Team.
  • Create and maintain demo environments used for Product presentations.
  • Manage and deliver on internal projects and sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Pre-Sales role.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to deliver technical and sales presentations autonomously when required.
  • Ability to relay technical information to customers with varying skill levels.
  • Experience working with and supporting Partner Channels and End Users.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP.
  • Proven background in networks/systems management, security applications deployment, and network and application monitoring.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux Operating Systems, including Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync.
  • Must have technical knowledge of network security technologies.
  • Understanding of Cloud and Hybrid architecture (Azure, AWS) and how they work within infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and SecOps concepts and experience in scripting, coding, and data center automation.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a “How can I help you” approach.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with others and communicate in an open and friendly manner.
  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills in English language
  • Comfortable with and open to travel within South Asia Region

Preferred Knowledge

  • Technical Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or VCP5.
  • Experience with Network and Routing architecture, especially focusing on Load Balancing (ADC) technologies.
  • Experience with Network and Security Monitoring
  • Experience within a DevOps environment is a major plus.
  • Knowledge of English and 1 additional ASEAN language
