Senior Business Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of expertise in Information Technology and the Insurance domain (Life & Group Insurance, including Indian/Takaful insurance). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with GROUP ASIA and web-based insurance products, possessing in-depth knowledge of SDLC, STLC, business analysis, testing, and SQL. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with product owners, technical teams, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering:
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
- Conduct requirement elicitation sessions with stakeholders, SMEs, and product owners.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory aspects are factored into the requirements.
Project Coordination & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, and compliance teams to ensure alignment.
- Conduct and facilitate daily scrum meetings, tracking progress and reporting to the Project Lead/Manager.
- Provide regular status updates to the Project Manager and assist with overall project management initiatives.
- Support stakeholders in requirement clarifications, prioritization, and conflict resolution.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Support QA teams by reviewing test cases and clarifying requirements to ensure full coverage.
- Perform system testing, regression testing, and maintain traceability matrix.
- Assist during SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phases.
Documentation & Deployment Support:
- Prepare SDLC documents and deployment checklists, ensuring smooth deployment and transition.
- Coordinate with teams for deployment activities and ensure business readiness.
Key Skills & Experience:
10+ years of experience in Information Technology & Insurance Domain.
Strong expertise in Life and Group Insurance (Indian/Takaful).
Hands-on experience with GROUP ASIA and web-based insurance products.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, requirement gathering, and business analysis.
Experience in preparing Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
Ability to conduct requirement sessions, prioritize business needs, and ensure compliance.
Proficiency in test case design, test execution, system testing, and regression testing.
Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or ISTQB certification (preferred).
- Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
